Luca Marini Hospitalized After Severe Crash

Luca Marini, a 27-year-old Italian MotoGP rider for Honda, was hospitalized following a serious crash during training at the Suzuka circuit on Wednesday. The accident occurred while Marini was preparing for the Suzuka 8 Hour endurance race at the Honda-owned track.

Marini sustained multiple injuries, including a dislocated hip, fractures to the sternum, a right collapsed lung, and knee ligament damage. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where he is reported to be in stable condition.

Currently 13th in the 2025 MotoGP world championship standings, Marini expressed gratitude for the support he has received, posting on Instagram: “Thanks everyone for the support. I’ll keep you posted.”

Honda confirmed that Marini will remain under medical observation in Japan until he is cleared to travel. The next MotoGP race is scheduled for June 8 in Aragon, Spain, though it remains uncertain if Marini will recover in time to compete.
