Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) ended the 2024/25 season in spectacular style, thrashing rivals Rangers International of Enugu 5-1 in a Matchday 38 clash at Lekan Salami Stadium. Played behind closed doors, the Oluyole Warriors, under coach Gbenga Ogunbote, delivered their biggest win of the season, completing a league double over the Flying Antelopes.
Sodiq Ibrahim led the charge with a brace, opening the scoring in the second minute after latching onto a pinpoint cross from skipper Gali Falke. Despite missed chances, Rangers equalized through Usman Bashir in the 43rd minute, making it 1-1 at halftime. The second half belonged to 3SC, with Ibrahim restoring the lead in the 51st minute off Joshua Akpan’s cross, marking his eighth goal of the season. Tijani Kabiru turned provider extraordinaire, setting up Gbolagade Adelowo’s header in the 64th minute, Alex Aghahowa’s stunning long-range strike in the 68th, and Akpan’s headed goal in the 71st to seal the rout.
