APC Will Remain Nigeria’s Only Serious Political Force Ahead of 2027 – Disciples of Jagaban Coordinator

The National Coordinator of the Disciples of Jagaban (DOJ), Comrade Abdulhakeem Adegoke Alawuje, has emphatically declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) stands as the only credible and nationally rooted political party as Nigeria heads toward the 2027 general elections.

In a strongly worded statement issued on Saturday, Alawuje described the APC as the most structurally cohesive and ideologically grounded party in the country. He asserted that, unlike the fragmented opposition, the APC continues to command national relevance and organizational discipline.

“As we move closer to 2027, the reality is becoming clear: it will be APC versus the rest,” he said. “What we see among the opposition parties is a chaotic mix of fractured alliances, disgruntled elites, and politicians driven by personal grievances rather than national interest.”

Alawuje dismissed many opposition parties as mere platforms for failed politicians seeking relevance, describing them as lacking unity, vision, and seriousness. “Most of these so-called parties are not true political organizations. They are alliances of convenience, formed out of bitterness, desperation, and personal ambition,” he added.

Reflecting on the alliance that brought APC to power in 2015, Alawuje described the partnership between former President Muhammadu Buhari and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as nothing short of divine intervention.

“The Buhari-Tinubu alliance was not merely a political strategy; it was a divinely orchestrated event. Buhari was destined to lead, and Tinubu was destined to follow,” he declared. “The script of 2015 was written by Almighty Allah. That was more than politics—it was providence.”

He lauded Buhari as a symbol of integrity and discipline, and Tinubu as a visionary strategist whose influence transcends regional and ethnic divides. According to Alawuje, no opposition figure currently possesses the moral authority or political reach to rival either of the two APC giants.

“Tell me, who in the opposition today has the Northern credibility Buhari commanded between 2013 and 2015? And who in the South can match Tinubu’s legacy of political engineering, bridge-building, and national reach? None. They are politically frustrated and intellectually unprepared. Some view Nigeria’s leadership as though it’s guguru and groundnuts—something trivial,” he stated.

Alawuje further likened the state of the opposition to “political zebras lost in the jungle,” asserting that the APC, as “the lion,” remains dominant, patient, and prepared to reclaim its place at every turn.

“Some opposition elements will be breakfast, some lunch, and others dinner. The APC is not just a political party—it is a national movement anchored in clarity of purpose, discipline, and vision,” he said.

Issuing a bold challenge, Alawuje invited opposition leaders to a public national debate on leadership, governance, and national unity. “Let any of them come forward. I challenge them to a public debate. Let’s talk about vision, legacy, and the future of Nigeria. If they believe in their own relevance, they should not shy away,” he asserted.

He concluded by emphasizing that leadership in Nigeria requires more than ambition—it requires structure, ideological consistency, and a commitment to national service. “Today, the APC is the only party where discipline, shared values, and service to the people still exist. Until others learn these fundamentals, they have no business dreaming of leading Nigeria,” Alawuje said.
