Rapper Kid Cudi, whose legal name is Scott Mescudi, has testified against Sean “Diddy” Combs in his trial, alleging that the rap mogul threatened him and was behind a Molotov cocktail attack that damaged his Porsche. Mescudi testified for about two hours on Thursday, answering questions about his relationship with Combs’ ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

Mescudi claimed that Combs discovered their relationship in December 2011 and subsequently broke into his Los Angeles home. “Are you in my house?” Mescudi recalled asking Combs, who allegedly responded, “I’m over here waiting for you.” Upon arriving home, Mescudi found his security cameras facing the wrong way, unopened Christmas presents rifled through, and his dog locked in the bathroom, acting “jittery and on edge”.

Mescudi also testified about the Molotov cocktail attack on his Porsche in January 2012. He received a call from his dog sitter, saying, “My car was on fire.” When he arrived home, he found a hole cut in the roof of his Porsche and an explosive device inside. Prosecutors showed the jury photos of the charred interior. Mescudi accused Combs of being behind the incident, although Combs denied involvement when questioned later.

When Mescudi confronted Combs about the incident, Combs allegedly gave him a “cold stare” and said, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” However, Mescudi claimed that Combs later apologized for everything when they met at a hotel. Despite this, Mescudi decided not to pursue the matter further.

The trial also heard testimony from makeup artist Mylah Morales, who witnessed Cassie Ventura with a black eye and feared for her life. Additionally, the jury learned about Combs’ hotel stay habits, with the front desk noting that he “always spills candle wax on everything” and uses excessive oil.
