Super Falcons Head Coach Justine Madugu has called up 23 players, including captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, defender Michelle Alozie, midfielder Toni Payne, and forward Rinsola Babajide, for two international friendly matches against Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses.

The squad also features defenders Osinachi Ohale and Oluwatosin Demehin, midfielders Deborah Abiodun and Jennifer Echegini, and forwards Ifeoma Onumonu and Francisca Ordega.

The Falcons will face the Lionesses at Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne-Remo, on May 31, followed by a second match at the MKO Abiola Sports Complex in Abeokuta on June 3.

These games serve as critical preparation for Nigeria’s campaign at the 13th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco, scheduled for July 5-26, where the nine-time champions will compete in Group B against Tunisia, Algeria, and Botswana. Meanwhile, Cameroon, who failed to qualify for the tournament, will use the matches to maintain competitive form.

All invited players are expected to report to their Hotel in Ijebu-Ode by May 26. The Super Falcons’ roster includes a mix of international stars and local talents, with notable names like Nnadozie (Paris FC, France), Ajibade (Atletico Madrid, Spain), and Payne (Everton Ladies, England).
