Nasarawa State Govt Forms Management for Feeder Team

The Nasarawa State Government has established a three-man Management Committee to oversee the operations of the Nasarawa United Football Club Feeder Team, aiming to bolster talent development and enhance the team’s performance.

The committee comprises Andrew Ahmed Alkali as Chairman, Jafaru Rengon Yahaya as Team Manager, and Kolawole Dada as Technical Adviser. The inauguration, held at Lafia City Stadium, was led by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Kwanta Yakubu, alongside Permanent Secretary Dr. Ibrahim Adamu Alhassan and Nasarawa United FC Board Members, chaired by Mr. Solomon Babanjah.

Hon. Kwanta charged the committee to restructure the Feeder Team, improve its performance, and cultivate a culture of excellence to facilitate talent transition to the main Nasarawa United squad.

The committee was also tasked with identifying and nurturing young talents aged 14-17 across the state and fostering partnerships with local and international football clubs.

The Commissioner reiterated Governor Abdullahi Sule’s commitment to promoting sports and developing young talent in Nasarawa State. The newly appointed management has already begun its work at Lafia City Stadium to execute these mandates.
