Leicester City’s legendary striker Jamie Vardy will play his 500th and final game for the club this Sunday at the King Power Stadium, facing already-relegated Ipswich Town.

The club confirmed the 38-year-old, whose contract ends this season, will not feature in Leicester’s last match away at Bournemouth on May 25, ensuring his farewell takes place on home soil.

Vardy, who joined from Fleetwood Town for £1m in 2012, is Leicester’s record Premier League goalscorer with 144 goals and has 199 goals across all competitions. He aims to reach the 200-goal milestone in his final appearance.

The Foxes plan to honor his remarkable legacy, including the 2015-16 Premier League title, the 2021 FA Cup triumph, and a Champions League quarter-final run in 2017. Vardy scored 24 goals during Leicester’s historic Premier League-winning campaign and was instrumental in their first-ever FA Cup victory against Chelsea.

Despite his nine goals this season, Vardy could not prevent Leicester’s relegation to the Championship. The club has urged fans to arrive early and stay late to celebrate the former England international’s 13-year tenure, which transformed him from a non-league talent into a Leicester icon.
