Three stars from Liverpool’s championship-winning squad—Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, and Ryan Gravenberch—have been named to the eight-player shortlist for the Premier League’s Player of the Season award, following their pivotal roles in securing the Reds’ 20th league title.

Team captain Van Dijk, a defensive cornerstone, has played every match this season, anchoring Liverpool to 14 clean sheets. Midfielder Gravenberch, missing just one game, has been a consistent presence in the engine room. Leading the attack, Salah tops the league with 46 goal contributions, including 28 goals.

Nottingham Forest also boasts multiple nominees, with Morgan Gibbs-White and Chris Wood, who has scored a career-best 20 goals in 34 matches, earning recognition. Newcastle’s Alexander Isak, second in the scoring charts with 23 goals, and Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, with 18 goals and seven assists, join Arsenal’s Declan Rice to complete the shortlist.

The winner will be announced later this month.
