Jens Lehmann, former Arsenal goalkeeper’s personal life has taken a dramatic turn with his divorce from wife Conny after 25 years of marriage. The news follows a series of controversies surrounding Lehmann, including a bizarre incident where he attacked a neighbor’s house with a chainsaw, resulting in significant property damage and a fine of £112,500.

Conny Lehmann confirmed the split, telling Bild, “I’m single. I’m happily single.” Although reluctant to go into details about their separation, it’s known that the couple had been living apart since 2022, when Conny moved out of their luxurious villa in Starnberg, Germany. The property was later listed for sale at €12.9 million (£10.9 million).

The couple met in 1995 and officially started dating in 1999, getting married in October of the same year. They have two children together, 24-year-old Mats and 18-year-old Lieselotta. Conny’s decision to end the marriage comes after Lehmann’s involvement in several high-profile incidents, including the chainsaw attack on his neighbor’s garage in 2022. Initially, Lehmann faced a suspended prison sentence and a fine of over £350,000, but he reached an out-of-court settlement worth more than £50,000.

Lehmann’s troubles didn’t stop there. In September 2023, he was pulled over by police after Oktoberfest celebrations and allegedly displayed signs of intoxication. He was fined £60,000, which he’s currently contesting in court, and his driver’s license has been revoked.

The former Arsenal goalkeeper’s legacy, once defined by his iconic performances on the pitch, is now marred by personal and legal controversies. As Conny embarks on a new chapter in her life, Lehmann faces ongoing legal battles and a tarnished public image.
