The future of Nigeria is in Peter Obi. He is the only genuine candidate. All others are fake.
A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Segun Sowunmi, made the statement that Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in 2023, is still the only genuine candidate for the elections in 2027.
Sowunmi made this assertion during a talk show that was held in Abuja on Friday as part of the celebration of May Day. The talk show was organized by some members of the Obidient Movement, powered by the Cyrus Group and the Free Nigeria Foundation.
In contrast to those who are merely waiting for opportunities that they are not yet prepared for, Obi is keen to see Nigeria flourish and is actively finding answers to the difficulties that the country is facing, as he said.
Sowunmi said, “You know, I am of the PDP, but the future of Nigeria is in Peter Obi. He is the only genuine candidate. All others are fake.
“I am very uncomfortable with the way we are passing the baton between the North and the Southwest, leaving out the crucial Igbo zone, even when Obi, who is the future, is available.”
To emphasize that Obi’s objective is to bring about a transformation in the nation, he remembered the history and circumstances that led to Obi’s entry into politics.
It was his challenge to the Obedient Movement and the Labour Party to follow the example of their counterparts in Brazil and to put in a lot of effort in order to bring about the essential transformation.
Also speaking at the event, Senator Nenadi Usman, who is the Acting National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), said that the party is associated with workers in all sectors, including those working in hospitals, construction sites, security, and other areas.
By enumerating five essential areas, she underlined that the LP takes the welfare of workers seriously. These areas include equal pay, labor rights, health and housing programs for workers, and the enforcement of labor regulations.
