The governing party would benefit in the upcoming elections because of the customary 12 million voters who voted for the Former President Buhari

Abdullahi Sule, governor of Nasarawa state, has said that the All Progressives Congress (APC), which is in power, still benefits much from the tenure of former president Muhammadu Buhari.

According to Governor Sule, the governing party would benefit in the upcoming elections because of the customary 12 million voters who voted for the former president.

This was said by the governor during a reception held at Government House in Lafia, the capital of the state, to honor Barr. Labaran Magaji, who is the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

Sule scolded people who thought Buhari and his followers would leave the coalition that became the APC, arguing that Buhari is still an important figure in the ruling party and will have a role in whether or not it wins the upcoming elections.

Moreover, he emphasized that the relationship between President Bola Tinubu and Buhari is growing stronger in the run-up to the 2027 election, saying that both leaders have accomplished a great deal and played significant roles in forming the APC.

Sule acknowledged that there will be a great deal of forgiveness and alliances among the candidates running for the position of governor in the state.

It was revealed by him that twenty individuals have expressed their desire to run for the job of governor in the state up to this point.

Sule said, “So far, that is what I am seeing. So, there is going to be a lot of alliances, a lot of forgiveness and a lot of team work, if we really want to get to where we are, because at the end of the day, only one person will get it.

“It is God Almighty that is going to select our next governor not A.A. Sule. For that reason, we must look forward to that support and commend whoever will become the governor in 2027.”
