Tottenham Hotspur, a two-time English Premier League winner, is keen on signing Super Eagles and Bayer 04 Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface. The 24-year-old had a remarkable debut season, scoring 21 goals and providing nine assists in 34 games, helping his team win the German Bundesliga title and the DFB Pokal.

According to Ireport24news Tottenham could win the race to sign Boniface as Bayer Leverkusen is open to parting ways with the Nigerian. Despite having a plethora of attacking options, including Son Heung-Min, Brennan Johnson, James Maddison, Richarlison, Timo Werner, Dominic Solanke, and Mathys Tel, Spurs are looking to strengthen their squad.

However, the quality up front is not translating to results, with Spurs currently 16th on the English Premier League table. Their only chance of salvaging something this season is in the UEFA Europa League, where they take on Boniface’s former side, Bodo/Glimt, in the semi-final.

Tottenham are aware of Boniface’s willingness to exit the Bay Arena after he was on their shortlist about a year ago before they signed Solanke from Bournemouth. It is believed that Boniface will be willing to walk the moment Xabi Alonso leaves Leverkusen.

The eight-time FA Cup winners face stiff competition for Boniface as West Ham United are also monitoring the services of the 24-year-old forward. Although Boniface has expressed a preference for playing in Spain over England, the opportunity to move to the Premier League might be exciting for the former Union Saint-Gilloise striker, especially if the financial package is right.

Boniface’s potential move to the Saudi Pro League collapsed during the winter transfer window, hinting that if the financial package is right, he might move to the Premier League after all. With his impressive form and trophy-winning pedigree, Boniface could be a valuable addition to Tottenham’s squad.
