Missing Police Inspector Bishop Clement Found Dead in Lagos

Police Inspector Bishop Clement, reported missing by his wife last week, has been discovered dead, a disconcerting development that has unsettled the Festac Town community in Lagos State.

Days after a Police Wireless Message went across Lagos divisions and formations describing his unexplained absence, his dead body was found at Second Rainbow in Festac Town.

An officer of the Nigeria Police Force, Clement vanished without a trace on April 23, 2025, after he departed for work.

The distress message was given when the officer’s wife formally reported the incident, according to a police signal signed by the officials in charge of the department (COMPOL DFA) in Ikeja and the area (Area ‘B’) in Apapa.

The Inspector’s wife report with the number AP/No. 352498 on April 23, 2025, at around 3 pm, according to the internal signal referenced as AB: 2680/LS/AP/VOL.1/146.

The signal clarified that Bishop Clement’s wife gave the report that her husband had been gone since leaving for work and that his cell phone numbers were unresponsive.

It reads, “AB: 2680/LS/AP/VOL.1/146 X Missing person X be informed that on 23/04/2025 at about 1500HRS X information received from the wife of AP/NO. 352498 Inspr. Bishop Clement ‘M’ attached mine X that her husband the Inspector of Police mentioned above X has not yet returned home since he left to work X and his mobile phone numbers 08062389359 X 08058981999 X have not been reachable X eye request assistance in circulating the information to other divisions/formations X for possible trace of his whereabouts X if seen inform mine for necessary.”
