It is my wish that you accept my resignation in good faith.

Oluwole Oke, a member of the House of Representatives, has tendered his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party.

Oke, a six-term lawmaker who represents the Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency in Osun State, announced his decision to depart the PDP after consulting with his family, colleagues, and political associates.

The letter of resignation that he sent was dated April 16, 2025 and was written to the Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party in Ward 7 of the Obokun Local Government Area in the state of Osun.

It reads, “I wish to formally notify you that I am resigning my Membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with immediate effect.

“This was concluded after consultation and engagement with my political associates, family and friends.

“It is my wish that you accept my resignation in good faith.”

Oke did not reveal his future political move, despite the fact that he advocated for his fans and loyalty to abandon the PDP and wait for his next route.

The factionalization of the party in the federal constituency was a direct result of Oke’s recent disagreements with the party hierarchy in the state, which had occurred in recent times.
