A man and a woman had both passed away in the Ankpa Local Government Area of the state, and the Kogi State Police Command had begun an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
An interview that took place on Saturday revealed that the names of the deceased individuals were Sheriff Salifu and Blessing Adama, both of whom were from Ankpa. The public relations officer for the command, SP William Aya, provided the information.
According to the report, a landlord from Alo in Ankpa, Salisu Ibrahim, went to the police at approximately 12pm. There, he stated that his tenant, Sheriff Salifu, did not come out of his room as he normally would have done at approximately 9am.
Following this, the deceased’s sibling entered the room through the ceiling. When their lifeless bodies were found in the room, both of the individuals were naked. However, it was unclear whether the two individuals were in relationship or not.
SP Aya said, “One Salisu Ibrahim from Alo in Ankpa came to the station about 12 pm, where he reported that his tenant, one Sheriff Salifu, did not come out of his room as usual at about 09:31 am.
“So, the brother to the deceased entered the room through the ceiling and met his brother and one Blessing Adama of Ojogobi Road Ankpa lying lifeless in the room. Both deceased were seen naked.”
An investigation has been opened by the command to determine the reason for their deaths, according to the public relations officer.
