The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has issued a call to Christians, urging them to contemplate the love and sacrifice that Jesus Christ displayed on cross.
In his Easter message, which was released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, Sanw-Olu expressed his joy along with the Christians of the state as they celebrate Easter this year.
He emphasized the importance of good neighborliness, selflessness, patience, and love as fundamental virtues taught and exhibited by Jesus Christ, and he encouraged all Lagosians to continue living in peace, harmony, and love.
It reads, “Today, I wish all Lagosians and Christians around the world a blessed and joyful Easter.
“As we commemorate this special occasion, I urge you to embrace unity and togetherness as a core part of your identity.
“Let us work together to impact the lives of those around us, our friends, family, colleagues, and neighbors, while contributing positively to the development of our beloved Lagos State and Nigeria. May we embody the spirit of Jesus in all that we do.”
