I wish all Ekiti residents and Christians worldwide a Happy Easter as we celebrate God’s greatest gift to mankind
Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji extended his best wishes to Christians in the state as well as those living in other parts of Nigeria on the occasion of the Easter celebrations that are taking place this year.
He extended his congratulations to Christians on the occasion of the anniversary and urged them to model their daily lives after the compassionate, persevering, and humble qualities that Christ possessed.
Residents of Ekiti State and all Nigerians, particularly Christians, were asked by Oyebanji to make use of Easter to seek the face of God in order to establish a permanent peace in the state and throughout the nation.
Furthermore, he urged believers of Christianity to continue to coexist peacefully with adherents of other religions, pointing out that the life of Christ exemplified the virtues of harmony, patience, and selflessness toward others.
The governor said, “In this season of hope and renewal, I extend my heartfelt wishes for peace, faith, strength and joy to all Christians this Easter, reflecting on our Lord Jesus Christ’s triumph over the grave.
“May the power of His resurrection resonate in our lives and endeavours.
“I urge us all to come together in love, compassion, and
unity, working towards shared prosperity for all.
“I wish all Ekiti residents and Christians worldwide a Happy Easter as we celebrate God’s greatest gift to mankind,” the governor said.
