Landlord Kills Tenant Over Rent Money

In the midst of a quarrel regarding rent money, a landlord from Zengeza is currently on the run after being accused of conspiring with four other individuals to commit a fatal assault on his tenant.

In connection with the death of 38-year-old Tendai Nenguwo, who passed away on Sunday, April 13, at Chitungwiza Central Hospital as a result of the attack, the police are looking for the suspect, who has been named as Crispen Marara.

Tendai is said to have gathered $560 from other renters living in a home on Hanga Street in Zengeza 1 that is owned by Marara’s parents.

According to reports, the incident began as a disagreement about the amount of money that Tendai had collected from those residents.

It is alleged that Tendai did not send the cash back to the appropriate party and instead converted them for his own personal benefit.

According to Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, “Police are investigating a murder case in Zengeza.

“The deceased was reported to have used the money of the accused person. The deceased passed on while admitted at Chitungwiza Central Hospital on April 13.”

Tendai was subjected to violent assaults with broomsticks and fists. It was stated that Tendai was admitted to the hospital, where he endured chronic chest problems until his death.

There are two children that Tendai leaves behind, the oldest of whom is currently in the seventh grade. It has been revealed by his family that they intend to bury him in the village of Chihota.

Crispen Marara and the other individuals engaged in the tragic assault are being sought by the authorities, and they are making a request to the general public for any information that could lead to their arrest.
