Nasarawa United players have been rewarded with N3.5 million for their matchday 33 victory over Plateau United. The cash gift was doled out by Governor Abdullahi Sule and the state Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Kwanta Yakubu, after the game on Sunday.

According to a statement signed by Mr. Eche Amos, Director of Media of the club in Lafia, Governor Sule praised the players for their clean win and conduct throughout the match. The governor also promised the players more gifts for each of the team’s wins, saying: “He also promised the players more gifts for each of the team’s wins.”

The win over Plateau United saw Nasarawa United move to 14th position on the league table with 42 points from 33 matches. The team will take on Bendel Insurance in their next league game on Saturday. Anas Yusuf and Ugochukwu Leonard’s goals contributed to Nasarawa United’s 3-2 win over Plateau United at the Lafia City Stadium.
