The National Secretary has approved the closure of the National secretariat for the mourning of the director of administration

The national secretariat of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), located at no. 40 Blantyre street, Wuse 2, Abuja, was shutdown on Thursday, according to an announcement made by the APC.

The shutdown is being implemented in order to express condolences for the passing of the party’s director of administration, Hon. Lateef AbdulRaif Adeniji, as stated in a document that was dated April 10th, 2025 and signed by Ubagba Abel, the deputy director administrator.

The party is believed to have paid a ransom of 50 million Nigerian naira, but Adeniji was allegedly killed after being kidnapped in Abuja around two months ago.

The memo read, “Secretariat closure for the mourning of the director of administration’, advised all the staff to use the period of mourning for sober reflection and prayers for the family and the loved ones.

“The National Secretary has approved the closure of the National secretariat from all party/work activities with immidiate effect till Monday 14th April 2025.

“This decision was made after he had received the news of the sad demise of the Director of Administration Late Hon. AbdulRaif Adekunle Adeniji.”
