The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) has imposed a ₦5 million fine on Shooting Stars Football Club (3SC) and ordered the closure of Lekan Salami Stadium to fans for the remainder of the season.
The ruling follows incidents during the club’s match against Ikorodu City on Sunday.
The NPFL has mandated that Shooting Stars formally accept the sanctions or file an appeal within 48 hours.
The fan ban will affect several high-profile home matches at Lekan Salami Stadium, including fixtures against Remo Stars, Sunshine Stars, and Rangers International.
The decision is expected to have a significant impact on the team’s home support as they navigate the rest of the season. Shooting Stars has yet to issue an official statement regarding the ruling or their next steps.
