Ekiti United FC took a significant step toward the upcoming Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO) season by unveiling their new jerseys on April 9, 2025, at a ceremony held at the office of Dr. Mrs. Olusola Osetoba, the representative of Ekiti State’s governor. The event showcased the team’s home and away kits, along with training gear, marking a fresh chapter for the club as they prepare to compete.
The unveiling brought together key figures, including the team’s management, coaching staff, and players. Dr. Mrs. Olusola Osetoba, speaking on behalf of the governor, highlighted the state’s dedication to advancing sports and football development. She affirmed the government’s backing of Ekiti United FC, expressing optimism about the team’s potential to shine.
“We stand firmly behind Ekiti United FC and are confident they can bring pride to our state,” Dr. Osetoba stated. “We urge the players to represent Ekiti well and strive to secure promotion to the Nigeria National League.”
In addition to the jersey reveal, the club announced the registration of 27 players for the season. Selected through a meticulous screening process, the squad—led by captain Adewale Makanjuola—comprises goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and forwards, all poised to spearhead the team’s promotion campaign.
Head coach Salawu Rotimi voiced strong belief in the squad’s capabilities. “These players were chosen for their talent and determination,” he said. “We’re confident they can deliver the division two tickets and make Ekiti proud.”
