As part of an effort to realize the 25-year Development Agenda for Ogbomoso town, Oba Ghandi Olaoye, the Soun of Ogbomoso, has initiated a transformative empowerment program with the goal of providing 240 natives with innovative and life-altering entrepreneurial skills.

Ogbomosoland Job Creation and Empowerment Committee, with the assistance of the Bank of Industry (BoI), was the one responsible for organizing the event that took place in the office of the Jokodolu Foundation.

This program was developed with the intention of providing participants with the practical skills necessary to achieve self-sufficiency, financial independence, and sustainable community development.

An extensive range of vocational and technical skills are covered by the program. These talents include baking and pastries, event planning and décor, information technology, domestic and industrial cleaning, soap making, and the creation of Adire and Aso Oke.

Oba Olaoye said, “This is more than training—it’s a seed of transformation. This is not just training. It’s a golden opportunity. Learn with passion. Commit fully. Maximize this gift.

“This is what community progress looks like. We rise by lifting others,” he added.

Additionally, he conveyed his appreciation to the Bank of Industry for its unflinching support and unwavering dedication to the welfare of the grassroots.

The ambitious 25-Year Development Agenda established by the Soun aspires to convert Ogbomoso into a hub of enterprise, education, and innovation.

This effort is one of the early implementations of the Soun’s ambitious Development Agenda.
