At the age of 85, Pascal Gabriel Dozie passed away. He was the founder of the now-defunct Diamond Bank Plc and the former chairman of MTN Nigeria.
After a courageous fight with an age-related illness, he passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, April 8, 2025, according to family sources. Pascal Dozie died one day before his 86th birthday.
Before its merger with Access Bank, Dozie’s Diamond Bank was among the most creative financial firms in Nigeria. He was the bank’s chairman for a while before Uzoma Dozie, his son, took over the helm.
