One of the key tools enabling this progress is the effective deployment of technology, and this is where Briech UAS has significantly contributed to our state’s security efforts.
In a strategic move to increase security monitoring in the state, Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has formed a partnership with Briech UAS Limited to buy advanced drones for information gathering and rapid response by security agencies.
This partnership was prompted by the ongoing attacks and killings that have occurred in communities.
While addressing at the introduction of the drones and missiles built by Briech Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) in Kuje, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Governor Mutfwang, along with the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, stressed the significant role that technology plays in contemporary security operations.
According to a statement that was released in Jos by Mr. Gyang Bere, who is the director of press and public relations, the cooperation serves as an example of a novel and forward-thinking strategy for addressing the security challenges that are prevalent in the state.
“I can attest to the professionalism and efficiency of the Nigerian armed forces. This is why Plateau State is rapidly regaining its reputation as the ‘Home of Peace and Tourism’ despite recent security distractions. One of the key tools enabling this progress is the effective deployment of technology, and this is where Briech UAS has significantly contributed to our state’s security efforts.”
He brought attention to the fact that the collaboration had a significant impact, mentioning that the installation of Briech UAS facilities in Plateau State had already improved the effectiveness of security personnel on the ground.
He voiced his optimism that this collaboration would further boost security operations, which would finally lead to the restoration of calm and make it possible for farmers to return to their fields in a secure manner.
“The time is now to address these challenges that hinder national prosperity. One of my key aspirations for this year is to see Plateau State farmers return to their farms. The only way to achieve this is by providing them with adequate security coverage, both in the air and on the ground, ensuring their safety.”
The ability of Briech UAS Limited to display both creativity and initiative was praised by General Christopher Musa. He said, “It is with great honour and appreciation that I witness the unveiling and live demonstration of the first set of locally manufactured attack drones by Briech UAS Limited.
“This marks a significant milestone in our nation’s journey toward self-reliance in defense technology and a major step in strengthening our security capabilities.”
The Chairman of Briech Group, which is the parent company of Briech UAS Limited, Dr. Bright Echefu, emphasized the significance of the most recent advancements in the technology of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). In the process of the nation’s pursuit of enhanced security solutions, he referred to the unveiling as a historically significant achievement.
