Technical Adviser of Kano Pillars Usman Abdallah returned to the training pitch on Tuesday, taking charge of the team’s session for the first time since his suspension was lifted.

The coach had been barred from duties in February after a combination of lackluster performances and a clash with fans following a 0-0 draw with Bayelsa United on matchday 22 at Sani Abacha Stadium. The initial suspension was later prolonged into early March.

Reconciliation seems to have been reached between Abdallah and the club, with Kano Pillars confirming his comeback through a social media update today. “All differences have been settled. Technical Adviser Usman Abdallah is back after the fan dispute and will guide the team through the rest of the season. Welcome back, Gaffer!” declared the statement from the four-time Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) winners.

Abdallah’s first test upon his return will be an away clash against Heartland FC in Owerri, Imo State’s capital, for NPFL matchday 32.

With Kano Pillars currently positioned eighth in the league table, holding 44 points from 31 games, the reinstated coach will aim to galvanize the squad and improve their standing as the season progresses.
