The suspects confessed to committing the crime, regretted their action and blamed the Devil
Suspected Ritualists Behead Minor – In the Jada Local Government Area, two suspects have been taken into custody by the Adamawa State Adamawa State Police command in connection with the gruesome death of a ten-year-old minor.
According to a statement released by the command, on March 16, 2025, police operatives arrested two individuals named Ibrahim Abdul Malik, who was 27 years old, and Aliyu Abdul Malik, who was 18 years old.
Both of these individuals were residents of Anguwan Sarkin Yamma, Jada. They faced accusations of murdering and beheading Abdalla Lawali, a 10-year-old Almajiri from Anguwar Dubai, Jada.
The date that the victim was discovered missing was March 7th, 2025, and according to her family, their efforts to trace her had been futile up to that point.
The command stated, “Upon receiving information on the suspects’ involvement. The Commissioner of police, CP Dankombo Morris, Psc (+), deployed security to the scene, where the decomposed body of the deceased was recovered in a sack bag.
“The search warrant was further executed at the suspects’ residence where the head was buried in a shallow grave within the house premises.
“During investigation, the suspects confessed to committing the crime, regretted their action and blamed the Devil.”
The Commissioner of Police expressed his disapproval of the barbarous behavior and ordered that the matter be handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) so that it might be investigated in a discrete manner and prosecuted with diligence.
