The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has intensified its war against cybercrime, arresting 21 suspected internet fraudsters in Bauchi State.
The operation, which took place on Saturday, March 15, 2025, was carried out by the EFCC’s Gombe Zonal Directorate, following credible intelligence on the suspects’ alleged involvement in cybercrime.
The EFCC operatives swooped on the suspects at Kaure New Government Reservation Area and Awala, Maiduguri Road, in Bauchi, seizing several luxury items, including a BMW car, a Toyota Camry, and high-end electronics.
Among the items recovered from the suspects were:
_One BMW car_ – _One Toyota Camry car_ – _Three PlayStation 5 consoles_ – _30 expensive phones_ – _One flat-screen television set_ – _Six Point of Sale (POS) machines_ – _Four iPads_ – _Five laptops_
