Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has unveiled a state-of-the-art stadium and an Olympic-size swimming pool at the Peaceville International Academy in Redemption City, Ogun State. The stadium and swimming pool were inaugurated on Friday, March 14, 2025, with Pastor Adeboye’s wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye, and other top church leaders in attendance.
The facilities are part of the Peaceville International Academy, a secondary school within the Redemption City of God. Pastor Adeboye reflected on his university days, lamenting the lack of quality sports facilities available back then. He expressed his vision for the school to become a global brand, and the facilities will be used to enhance the physical well-being of students and position the school as a hub for sports development in Ogun State and Nigeria.
The event also featured a novelty match to celebrate Pastor Adeboye’s 83rd birthday, with the home team, Redemption City FC, winning 4-0 against Region 1 FC.
