Nurse Reveals how Mohbad died– Feyisayo Ogedengbe, the auxiliary nurse who helped the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, has revealed that the rapper experienced a response and began vomiting after she gave him a tetanus injection.

This information was supplied by the nurse herself. When Feyisayo was giving her testimony on Friday in front of Justice C.A. Shotobi at the Coroner’s Court in Ikorodu, Lagos, she related that she had gone outside to get more medical supplies when she received a phone call informing her that Mohbad had begun to convulse.

According to her, Mohbad got goosebumps after getting the tetanus shot. Omowunmi, his wife, said that this was a “normal response” for him to have. Ayobami Sodiq, also known as Spending, sought Ogedengbe’s help in treating Mohbad on September 12, 2024.

She arrived at Mohbad’s Lekki residence at about 2:30 pm and saw a swollen cut on his right hand. Feyisayo gave him a tetanus shot to his upper arm and, after confirming that he had an ulcer, decided to give him paracetamol instead of diclofenac.

She injected him with 4 ml of paracetamol mixed with 1 ml of water and a slow 10 ml dose of ceftriaxone to treat a bacterial infection.

Feyisayo added that Mohbad felt discomfort and vomited up when she gave Mohbad the ceftriaxone. Four people were present in the room, including Mohbad, Omowunmi, and Ayobami.

The nurse went on to add that she questioned Omowunmi about why she hadn’t brought up the fact that Mohbad often had such reaction to injections.

Feyisayo said, “After vomiting in the toilet, he returned to the room and sat on the floor, where I noticed the goosebumps on his body.

“I showed his wife (Omowunmi) the reaction, and she said it was his normal response to injections. Omowunmi then took Mohbad to the bathroom and began pouring water on his head.”

Given the gravity of the situation, the nurse and Ayobami hurried to the pharmacy to get an allergy prescription, but they encountered delays at the first pharmacy.

Feyisayo, the auxiliary nurse said, “After visiting another pharmacy and obtaining the necessary hydrocortisone injection and normal saline infusion, we returned to find Mohbad outside the house. By then, preparations were underway to take him to the hospital.

“Due to a lack of available vehicles and heavy traffic, Mohbad was transported to the hospital on a motorcycle, where he was later declared dead on arrival by the medical team.”

When they arrived at the hospital, she recalled that the doctors and nurses were hesitant to treat him at first, which led to some uncertainty.

According to Feyisayo, they returned Mohbad’s body to the residence at about 8 o’clock in the evening after visiting the Orchid Lekki Police Station to obtain a death certificate. Following inquiries from the police, they were directed to the Ajiwe Police Station in Ajah to submit a report.

The state’s attorney, Kabir Akingbolu, the counsel for Omowunmi, Dr. Wahab Shittu, SAN, and the family of Mohbad all took part in cross-examination, and the case was postponed until Friday, March 21, 2024.

Under Section 251(e) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, Feyisayo Ogedengbe and Sodiq were warned that they will face prosecution for reckless and negligent activities in February 2025 by the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions at a Magistrate Court sitting in Sabo, Yaba, Lagos.

Famous musicians Abdulazeez Fashola (Naira Marley), Samson Balogun (Sam Larry), Owodunni Ibrahim (Primeboy), and Opere Babatunde (Mohbad’s ex-manager) were all found not guilty by the court.
