Valentine Ozigbo is actually the custodian of Peter Obi, then I know for a fact that Peter Obi will join us.

It has been asserted by Daniel Bwala, who serves as a special adviser to President Bola Tinubu on media and policy, that Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) for the year 2023, will soon be leaving the party and join APC.

Bwala indicated that Obi would join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) prior to the elections in 2027 during an interview that took place on TVC on Wednesday, March 12.

“Do you know we are emptying the Labour Party? Not because we are asking them to come.” According to Bwala, “Valentine Ozigbo has joined us, Balami has joined us, and even Peter Obi will join us.”

“Peter Obi will not run in the Labour Party. For Valentine Ozigbo to come to our party, Valentine Ozigbo is actually the custodian of Peter Obi, then I know for a fact that Peter Obi will join us.”

The former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir el-Rufai, defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Social Democratic Party (SDP). Bwala referred to this development as a media tactic rather than a political shift.

“You see, after one or two weeks of this mini-dramatic activity, because the way they scheme these things is that every week, you will hear a breaking news story that a gladiator has joined SDP, so they will dominate the media space.

“By the time the two weeks is over and they are able to enjoy this momentary coverage, when they sit down they’ll start fighting over who will be president or vice-president.

“The reason El-Rufai did not go to the PDP is because he can’t dictate things there, but he told the world that the chairman of SDP is his friend. So they went there because they want to dictate.”

IREPORT247NEW reported that Nasir El-Rufai, the former Governor of Kaduna State and a founding member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has announced his resignation from the ruling party.

The much anticipated decamping of El-Rufai could have significant implications for President Tinubu’s administration and re-election bid considering El-Rufai’s influence and experience.

This defection could bolster the opposition’s chances in upcoming 2027 elections.

In a post on his verified Facebook page, El-Rufai confirmed his defection to the Social Democratic Party (SDP), stating that he had submitted his resignation letter to his ward in Kaduna.
