We will do everything possible to make sure that we make Oyo State by 2027, an APC state.
Emmanuel Adegbola, a former member of the Nigerian Army, and more than 13,000 of his supporters from the Oke Ogun area of Oyo State have defected to the main opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state. Adegbola join APC in his Saki ward after his retirement from the military.
Olanite Tajudeen, the party’s state secretary, presented him to the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party. Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, the party’s national chairman, received the defectors at the APC secretariat in Abuja on Wednesday, and Ganduje declared that the party was prepared to sweep the South-West region in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All-Progressives Congress (APC), met with the defectors on Wednesday at the APC national secretariat in Abuja. He stated that the party was prepared to achieve a complete takeover of the South-West region in advance of the general elections in 2027.
We have designated “political homogeneity” as the tagline for our blueprint for the South-West geopolitical zone for the year 2027. The South-West region will, in accordance with our design, put in significant effort, and with the assistance of Allah (SWT) and the people of the state, Oyo will become an APC state after the year 2027.
The state of Osun, one of the other states in the zone outside our control, will also become an APC state. According to him, this is what we mean when we talk about political homogeneity.
Following his reception by the APC National Working Committee, Adegbola made a statement to the media in which he stated that he was prepared to utilize his extensive experience in order to make a significant contribution to the advancement of the party.
Adegbola stated, “I want to wholeheartedly and highly committed to the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President. We will do everything possible to make sure that we make Oyo State by 2027, an APC state.
“We will do everything humanly possible by the special grace of God, that all nooks and crannies of Oyo State, we have been able to get assured through the National Chairman of the party, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
“He has given us his words and encouragement. That is why we thank the Almighty God for bringing us this far.”
