The Edo State Government has announced a partnership with the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) to provide financial assistance to students in state-owned tertiary institutions.
Edo NELFUND partnership aims to make tertiary education more accessible and affordable for Edo State students.
Under the partnership, students will be able to access loans to cover their tuition fees, as well as receive a monthly stipend to help cover their living expenses. The Commissioner for Education, Dr. Pally Iyamu, announced the initiative, stating that it was designed to reduce the financial burden on parents and students.
To be eligible for the loan scheme, students must be enrolled in a state-owned tertiary institution in Edo State. The application process will be announced during a two-day sensitization program scheduled for March 11 and 12, which will cover all three senatorial districts in the state.
