Nigeria Reaches Out to Foreign Countries to Enhance Remote Job Opportunities

The Federal Government has announced plans to partner with foreign nations to create remote job opportunities for Nigerian youths.

The Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu, revealed this remote job opportunities during the KPMG budget 2025 day aired on Arise TV.

Bagudu stated that the government was engaging with several countries to explore opportunities for Nigerian youths to provide outsourcing services remotely. He cited the example of the European Business Park in Enugu, supported by the Australian Development Corporation, where young Nigerians provide services to companies in Europe.

The minister noted that the government was leading the charge in developing cooperation with foreign nations to create job opportunities for Nigerian youths. He mentioned that the current country director of the World Bank, who helped create over 1.5 million jobs for young Filipinos, was being engaged to share his experience.

Bagudu emphasized the importance of the digital economy in creating job opportunities for Nigerian youths. He noted that the Ministry of Digital Economy was currently training three million Nigerians in technology jobs, and that there was already demand for software engineers from other countries.


The minister also highlighted the government’s focus on agriculture and food security. He noted that investor engagements by the FG were yielding fruit, and that the new budget included N1.5 trillion to recapitalize the Bank of Agriculture.

Bagudu expressed confidence in the government’s ability to sustain positive economic momentum. He noted that the economy was moving in the right direction, and that the government’s efforts to improve infrastructure, agriculture, and the digital economy would continue to drive growth.

Atiku Bagudu is the current Minister of Budget and Economic Planning. He has been instrumental in developing the government’s economic policies and strategies, and has played a key role in promoting Nigeria’s economic growth and development.
