President Bola Tinubu appoints Professor Attahiru Jega as Presidential adviser and coordinator of Presidential Livestock Reforms

Professor Attahiru Jega has been appointed to the position of Presidential Adviser and Coordinator of Presidential Livestock Reforms by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the appointment.
By posting the announcement on his social media handle on Friday, Presidential Spokesman Bayo Onanuga made the announcement.
“President Bola Tinubu appoints Professor Attahiru Jega as Presidential adviser and coordinator of Presidential Livestock Reforms.
“The appointment places the former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the helm of efforts to modernise Nigeria’s livestock sector, a key component of the administration’s broader agricultural and economic strategy.
Formerly serving as the Vice-Chancellor of Bayero University in Kano, Jega, who is currently a professor of political science, was instrumental in the process of reorganizing Nigeria’s election system.
With this nomination, President Tinubu has shown his dedication to agricultural reforms that would diversify the economy and guarantee food security.
With his extensive background in policymaking and administration, Professor Jega is well-equipped to lead the charge for long-term improvements in Nigeria’s cattle sector.
