Four individuals who are suspected of being involved in banditry have been apprehended by the Kano State Police Command in the Hotoro Quarters area of Kampala.
Furthermore, the police were able to foil the suspects’ alleged effort to purchase an AK-47 rifle, according to SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, who is the spokesperson for the command and who released this information.
This operation, which was carried out by police detectives on March 6, also resulted in the recovery of firearms, ammunition, and a cash quantity that was greater than one million Nigerian naira, according to Kiyawa.
Shukurana Salihu, age 25, Rabi’u Dahiru, age 35, and Ya’u Idris, age 30, all hail from the state of Katsina. Muktar Sani, age 30, a resident of Yandodo Hotoro Quarters in Kano, was also named as one of the suspects.
There was solid intelligence that they were in Kano with intent to purchase an AK-47 rifle, according to the spokesman for the Command, who stated that the suspects were captured at Chula Filling Station.

The authorities referred to the new development as a significant breakthrough, and they stated that “this achievement is a testament to the Command’s commitment to tackling the infiltration of banditry to the State and other forms of criminality.
The suspects, according to Kiyawa, are currently being investigated by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), and they will be charged with a crime once the investigations are over.
