Black Scorpions FC has received official approval from the Nationwide League One (NLO) to relocate its operations to Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
The decision follows the club’s successful compliance with all stipulated requirements, paving the way for a new era in its development.
Chief Sunday Dare, the club’s financier and founder, expressed enthusiasm about the relocation, highlighting its purpose. “We are committed to creating a nurturing environment where Nigerian youth can flourish and channel their energies productively,” he said. The club’s core mission revolves around developing young football talent, promoting discipline, and elevating standards in the sport.
In a formal announcement, NLO Chief Operating Officer Olushola Ogunnowo affirmed the league’s endorsement of the move. “After verifying that Black Scorpions FC owes no debts to its previous Oyo State affiliation, the NLO Secretariat is pleased to authorize the club’s transfer to Abuja,” the statement noted, extending goodwill to the club’s leadership.
