Gov. Dapo Authorises Recruitment of 500 Amotekun Corps

Dapo Abiodun, the Governor of Ogun State, has given his approval for the Ogun State Security Network Agency, also known as Amotekun Corps, to expand its workforce by an additional 500 individuals.

The move is aimed at strengthening the security framework of the state according to Brigadier General Alade Adedigba (ret.), who is the State Commander of the Corps.

This statement was released on Saturday just two months after the recent passing out parade of 690 freshly trained Corps operatives.

Beginning on Monday, March 10, 2025, and continuing until Friday, April 4, 2025, the application window will officially be open for candidates. Between the dates of Tuesday, April 22, 2025 and Thursday, May 1, 2025, there will be a comprehensive screening exercise that is scheduled to take place.

Adedigba stated that the direction issued by the governor is a reflection of the government’s unrelenting commitment to bolstering security measures for all people of Ogun State.

Everyone who is entitled to do so is highly encouraged by Adedigba to take part in this significant endeavour. And to play an important part in the process of creating a safe environment for the community.
