A devastating incident occurred on Thursday, March 6, during Subhi prayers at a mosque in Gudaba village, Kuje Area Council, Abuja. Salihu Byezhe, a 52-year-old man, tragically passed away after collapsing during the prayer session.

A Sudden Collapse
Byezhe had attended the community mosque for the early morning prayers, participating in Sahur, the pre-dawn meal observed during Ramadan. However, during the prayer session, he suddenly collapsed, prompting immediate action from those present.

Rushed to the Hospital
The worshippers quickly rushed Byezhe to a hospital in Kuje. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Medical personnel attributed the cause of death to high blood pressure.

A Son’s Loss
Byezhe’s son, who was present in the mosque, accompanied his father to the hospital, where the attending physician confirmed his death.

Burial in Accordance with Islamic Customs
Byezhe’s burial took place at 10:12 am on Thursday, March 6, in accordance with Islamic customs.

This tragic incident serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of prioritizing one’s health, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
