In a recent decision, the Senate has suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, for six months.

This suspension comes after the Senate Committee on Ethics and Public Petitions recommended the six-month suspension due to sexual harassment allegations leveled against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

As part of the suspension, Senator Natasha’s salary and those of her staff will be halted during the six-month period. The committee’s chairman, Senator Neda Imasuen, presented this recommendation during Thursday’s plenary session.

Fingers crossed, we await Senator Natasha’s response to this new development.
