Akpabio revealed that he spent the night inside the Dangote Cement facility

Godswill Akpabio, the President of the Senate, has revealed that he spent the night inside the Dangote Cement facility in Obajana, which is located in the state of Kogi, on the day when Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the Senator for Kogi Central, was getting married.

Akpabio, a former Minister of the Niger Delta, stressed his deep ties to Natasha’s family when speaking during the plenary session of the National Assembly on Thursday. He described Natasha’s husband as a close friend.

“I slept in Dangote Cement factory in Obajana, Kogi State, on the night of Senator Natasha’s wedding because the Kogi airport lights were in a poor state.

As a result of allegations of misconduct in the chamber, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan was suspended from the Senate on Thursday for a period of six months.

After the report of the Committee on Ethics, Code of Conduct, and Public Petitions was given to the Senate by its Chairman, Senator Neda Imasuen, the Senate came to the conclusion that the resolution should be enacted.
