Law firm Indemnity Partners has issued a disclaimer distancing itself from a document circulating on social media. The document claimed that Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan sought N10 billion damages from her husband, Emmanuel Oritsejolomi Uduaghan, before their marriage.

However, Indemnity Partners asserts that the document is “inauthentic and of dubious origin.”

In a statement signed by B.C. Igwilo, SAN, the law firm declares, “We are solicitors for Mrs Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan. Our attention has been drawn to a letter trending on social media purporting to have issued from our law firm in respect of our client and her husband. We categorically distance ourselves from the purported letter and its alleged contents.”

The firm urges Nigerians to “ignore it in its entirety.” This development comes amidst allegations by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of a conspiracy by the Kogi State government and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to harm its candidates’ lives, reputation, and ambition ahead of the 2023 elections.
