Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has pledged to propose the creation of a Ministry of Youth Development to the Kaduna State Executive Council.

This promise was made during a courtesy visit by Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, who led his Renewed Hope Youth Engagement team to the governor’s office on Tuesday.

Governor Sani’s pledge is a significant step towards empowering youths in Kaduna State. The proposed Ministry of Youth Development will provide a platform for youths to engage with the government, access resources and opportunities, and contribute to the development of the state.

Seyi Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Youth Engagement team has been traveling across the country, engaging with youths from different tribes, religions, and political affiliations. The team’s mission is to promote unity, empowerment, and positive change among Nigerian youths.

Governor Sani praised Seyi Tinubu for his humility and nationwide engagement with youths. “I was impressed with what you did in Kano yesterday by interfacing with youths across the board. I commend your efforts in uniting youths for positive outcomes,” the governor said.

Governor Sani emphasized the importance of harnessing the talents of youths, stating that the nation’s future depends on it. He highlighted the Federal Government’s policies and programs focused on education and the digital economy, stressing that youths can only benefit from these opportunities if they remain united and avoid being divided by politicians along ethno-religious lines.

Earlier, the Minister of Youth Development, Mr. Ayodele Olawande, had urged the state governor to create a Ministry of Youth Development to give youths a sense of belonging. This call was echoed by Governor Sani, who recognized the need for a dedicated ministry to address the unique challenges and opportunities faced by youths in Kaduna State.

Seyi Tinubu and his team had a busy itinerary on Tuesday, engaging with Muslim youths in Kano, meeting with Ahmadu Bello University students in Zaria, and paying homage to the Emir of Zazzau before visiting Governor Sani. The team also had Iftar with youth groups in Kaduna.

Governor Sani’s pledge to establish a Ministry of Youth Development is a welcome development that has the potential to empower youths in Kaduna State. Seyi Tinubu’s nationwide youth engagement efforts have helped to promote unity and positive change among Nigerian youths.

As the country continues to grapple with the challenges of youth empowerment, initiatives like these offer a glimmer of hope for a brighter future.
