Professor Bidmos was held in high esteem by a large number of people
Professor Murtala Bidmos, who had previously served as the Chief Imam of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), has passed away.
Yesterday, his son, Faisal Bidmos, made the announcement that he had passed away. It is his assertion that the Janazah of Professor Bidmos will be carried out in accordance with Islamic rituals in his hometown of Ayete, which is located in Ibarapa North, Oyo State.
His contributions to Islamic studies and his spiritual leadership at UNILAG earned him a reputation as a respected religious leader and academic.
The scholar who passed away was noted for his accomplishments. Because of his unshakeable dedication to Islam and his relentless efforts to further philanthropic causes, Professor Bidmos was held in high esteem by a large number of people.
Within the Muslim community, his wisdom served as a guiding light, and his contributions to the IBILE Muslim Community Zakat and Sadaqat Foundation created an imprint that will remain for a long time.
It has been requested that members of the Muslim community pray for his soul, make charitable contributions on his behalf, and ask Allah to have mercy on him.
Muslim community prayed, “We beseech Allah (SWT) to grant him maghfirah, overlook his shortcomings, make the questioning in the grave easy for him, illuminate his resting place with divine light, and admit him into Jannatul Firdaus.”
In due time, specifics on his Janazah, which are prayers offered at the time of his funeral, will be revealed.
In order to ensure that his legacy continues to be a source of blessings in the Hereafter, the IBILE Muslim Community and the entire Ummah are encourage to honor his memory by performing acts of kindness and praying for him.
