TRAGEDY STRIKES: Four Students Kidnapped by Bandits in Brazen Attack Near Katsina University Campus

A devastating incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday at Paris Quarters, located behind the Federal University, Dutsinma, in Katsina State. Four students were abducted by suspected bandits in a brazen attack that has left the university community in a state of fear.

According to security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, the incident took place at approximately 2:20 a.m. when the assailants, reportedly in large numbers, invaded the area and whisked away the victims.

The abducted students have been identified as Wali Kayode, 25; Fahad Muhammad, 20; Emmanuel (surname unknown); and another yet-to-be-identified person.

Security operatives were quickly mobilized to the scene after receiving a distress call, but unfortunately, the kidnappers had already escaped with the students.

Security sources confirmed the abduction to Makama, stating that efforts are ongoing to track down the kidnappers and rescue the victims safely.

The incident has heightened fears among residents and students in the area, as banditry continues to pose a serious security threat in Katsina State.

In a statement to SaharaReporters, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Katsina State Command, Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, acknowledged that the police were unaware of the incident but would investigate and provide an update.

The university community remains on high alert, and authorities are urged to take swift action to ensure the safe return of the abducted students.
