Immediately following her departure from a concert in Montgomery, Alabama, Angie was engaged in a deadly car accident,
A automobile accident that occurred early on Saturday morning claimed the life of R&B singer Angie Stone, who was nominated for a Grammy and had singles such as “Wish I Didn’t Miss You” and “No More Rain (In This Cloud).” Her age was 63. Immediately following her departure from a concert in Montgomery, Alabama, Angie was engaged in a deadly car accident, as stated by her representative, Deborah R. Champagne, early on Saturday morning.

When the accident took place, she was on her way to another performance at the CIAA basketball tournament for the city of Baltimore.
Around four in the morning, Stone was going back to Atlanta from Alabama when the vehicle she was riding in flipped over and was struck by a large rig, according to Walter Millsap III, her longtime manager, who confirmed this information to The Associated Press. Stone was the only person in the van to survive her injuries; the others were able to survive.
The news of Angie’s passing has left her family and friends in utter disbelief, as Deborah revealed that she had just ended a conversation with her the previous evening.
This was the first all-female group to be signed to the illustrious Sugar Hill Records label, and Angie Stone rose to popularity as a member of The Sequence.
From 1979 till 1985, The Sequence was a band that issued three albums and was responsible for the creation of the smash song “Funk You Up.” Major musicians, such as Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk” and Dr. Dre’s “Keep Their Heads Ringin’,” both sampled this song in the years that followed.
In a message that was issued by the SRG Group, her children, Diamond and Michael Archer, conveyed their sorrow.
It said, “Never in a million years did we ever expect to get this horrible news. We are still trying to process and are completely heartbroken.”
Angie began her solo career in the late 1990s and has been quite successful since then. In 2001, she released “Wish I Didn’t Miss You,” which went on to become one of her signature songs. Her debut album, Black Diamond, was certified gold in the United States.
The Hot Chick and Ride Along, a comedy starring Kevin Hart, were two of the films in which Angie appeared.
She also tried her hand at acting. In 2018, she gave a speech in which she emphasized the significance of new artists showing respect to those who preceded them in their careers.
