Nuru Isah, who is fifty years old, has been taken into custody by the Bauchi State Police Command. He is suspected of killing his second wife, Wasila Abdullahi, who was twenty-four years old.
In a press release statement that was issued on Sunday, Ahmed Wakil, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Command, said that on Saturday, the command was notified of an alleged culpable homicide event that occurred close to Government Girls College in the Fadamam Mada Area of Bauchi.
He mentioned that the event was caused by a disagreement between one Nuru Isah, who is fifty years old and works as a businessman at Central Market Bauchi, and his second wife, Wasila Abdullahi, who is twenty-four years old.

PPRO Wakil stated, “Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect, Nuru Isah, is accused of using a cane to strike his wife, which resulted in her collapsing and becoming unconscious within their matrimonial residence.
“The victim was subsequently transported to Abubakar Tafawa Belewa University Teaching Hospital, ATBUTH Bauchi, where medical personnel confirmed her death.”
The suspect, Nuru Isah, has been apprehended, and the cane that was allegedly used in the assault has been recovered as an exhibit.
Additionally, the deceased has been placed in the mortuary pending the results of the autopsy.
He added that the Bauchi State Police Command had begun an exhaustive investigation into the incident and had apprehended the suspect.
An assurance has been given to the general public by the State Commissioner of Police, Auwal Muhammad, that the command will continue to prioritize its commitment to ensuring that justice is served.
