On Thursday afternoon, President Donald Trump of the United States of America met with Prime Minister Keir Starmer of the United Kingdom at the White House.

Keir Starmer stated that his nation is prepared to put boots on the ground in order to support a peace in Ukraine during his first visit to Washington as Prime Minister while he was there.

Trump continues by saying that his conversations with Starmer were “tremendously productive.”

The prime minister was updated on US efforts to stop the horrific Russia-Ukraine war by Trump, who also mentioned his historic and highly productive discussions with President Putin.

Trump said, “We’re working very hard to get that war brought to an end. I think we’ve made a lot of progress, and I think it’s moving along pretty rapidly.

“The progress toward peace will continue when President Zelenskyy visits the White House.

“They’ll be here tomorrow in the early part of the day and we’ll be signing a historic agreement that will make the United States a major partner in developing Ukraine’s minerals and rare earths, and oil and gases.”

Keir Starmer expresses his gratitude to President Trump of the United States for his hospitality and leadership.

In addition to stating that the visit has been ‘very good and productive,’ Starmer also stated that it is ‘good to know that the United Kingdom has a true friend in the Oval Office.’

Taking into consideration the real danger in the world, Starmer asserts that the relationship between the two nations is more important than it has ever been.

Starmer said, “We remain each other’s first partner in defence, ready to come to the other’s aid to counter threats wherever and whenever they arise.

Regarding the situation in Ukraine, Starmer is pleased with Trump’s strong commitment to end the violence and establish peace.

“You’ve created a moment of tremendous opportunity to reach a historic peace deal, a deal that would be celebrated in Ukraine and around the world,” he added.
