Malabar Hill Club’s experienced cueist Rajeev Sharma registered a straight frame 3-0 win against Arwiend Lakhmanain a second-round.
Qualifying match of the CCI Snooker Classic 2025, an all-India tournament, played at the CCI’s Wilson Jones billiards hall on Thursday.
Sharma potted steadily to carve out a 48-20, 59-30, and 56-35 victory to advance to the third round of the competition.
In another second-round contest, Suraj Rathi also pulled through by the short route defeating Chetan Mulani 3-0 (58-35, 71-16, and 71-2) to move closer towards qualifying for the main draw.
Meanwhile, Anuj Agarwal was in good form and constructed a half-century break of 50 points in the third frame to hand Jay Patil a 3-0 (64-27, 81-55, and 97-8) defeat in a first round encounter.
