Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun has deployed the Intelligence Response Team to rescue Afenifere Youth Leader Prince Eniola Ojajuni, who was kidnapped on February 17, 2025, while traveling to Abuja. The team has been directed to prioritize Ojajuni’s safe rescue.

According to Force Public Relations Officer ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the police are committed to securing Ojajuni’s release by deploying all necessary resources and expertise. Adejobi urged Nigerians to refrain from sharing unverified information about the incident on social media, as this can jeopardize the operation and endanger the victim’s safety.

The kidnapping occurred on February 17, 2025, and the kidnappers have demanded a ransom of N100 million. The Afenifere National Youths Council has appealed to the public to provide any information that may lead to Ojajuni’s rescue.

In related news, the police have recorded successes in February, including the arrest of 20 suspects and the recovery of an AK-47 rifle, seven rounds of live ammunition, a motorcycle, three Dane guns, and a bow and arrow in Taraba State. Additionally, three kidnap victims were rescued in Oyo State, and one of the kidnappers was arrested.

The Nigeria Police Force remains committed to dismantling all criminal elements operating within communities, with the ultimate goal of establishing peace and safety.
